How to do eyebrows for begginers

July 17, 2017 0 Comments

Check this link!

I don't really have naturally grown eyebrows. That's why I use different products to fill them in. I found out that practicing different arch on your brows will not only make you an expert, but will surely change the your facial features.

Let the eyebroventure begin!

Gather the following:

Tweezers

Spoolie Brush

Brow Brush

Brow Product

Start with cleaning, trimming, and shaping your brows.

As we age, hair begins to slower, it's growth. I suggest you should not constantly shape your brows, nor over stay brow products. Makeup has a lot of contents that blocks hair follicles to grow them naturally.

Brush your brows upward from the outer corner of your eyes. Making sure that there's no uneven portion. Then continue brushing 90 degrees following its natural angle to its ideal end.

Using your desired brow product, you can always follow the steps in filling your brows.

You have to check what products will really suit your skin. You can try testers or read product reviews for your references. It's not always ideal to buy products with no reference at all, They're products that won't work for you.

For girls who don't have visible brow hairs, I suggest you use brow pomade or oil based products. Which has great performance, that don't require you to retouch your brows a lot.

I really love the soft arch for my brows. Using an angle brush I start shapping to where I want to bring up the arch, before going down to the end. Then from the top of your outer brows, slowly going downwards.

Draw a soft straight line from where your natural brows grows to the arch, then do the same on the outer part.

Once you're done tracing your brow pattern, you can slowly fill them in lightly. Add more product in the arch area to create illusion that it is lifted.

From the outside of your nose, find where you ideally want to start your brows. Then start drawing soft strokes looking hair, and fill the areas.

Remember that we want to look it naturally, so, make sure that you don't have a lot of product on the brush, to avoid redoing it.

To soften harsh line, brush them with your spoolie. Blend that out. Emphasize your brow shape, by using your the foundation you've used to your face or concealer.

You can also use highlighter under your arch to show off.

Hair and Makeup 2017 Regional Contest, Davao City

May 04, 2017 4 Comments
There's always a first time for everything.

Organized every year by the Filipino Hairdressers Cooperative (Fil-Hair Coop), with the very supportive founder Ricky Reyes. In togetherness support of the Office of the City Mayor and LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer), presents the grandest Hair and Makeup Contest for the fairest model and greatest artist.

All the Make-up artist in Region 11 are invited to showcase their artistry in 3 challenging categories, Men’s Cut and Blow-dry, Avant Garde Men’s Cut, Commercial Make-Up and Bridal Makeup.

The program started with a short presentation of the latest trends on hair care, face products and new technology machines for makeup studios. I was very lucky to try Ricky Reyes signature hair brands, by his self!

I wasn't able to join the photobooth, thankfully Mother was so nice to let me have a selfie.

This year, I've made my first mark for joining this prestigious competition, in the Commercial Make-up category. Aided by my workmates, we came up with the idea of dressing up my model with open front tuxedo and 4 inch open black sandals.

I've used a two tone eyeshadow technique, to naturally deepen her eye feature.

Using the eyeshadow shield to protect shadows from falling out, since we only have 30 minutes to complete the look.

I've pulled back her hair to showcase her long neck. Also, on this photo coaching her to never be nervous, but actually the advice goes to me.

Most of the participants has their own studio already. I almost littled by self, but this community boosted my confidence by appreciating my output.

Sadly, weren't able to get the crown this year. Maybe next year! It's a whole lot experience for a first time.

Videos here! Have fun!
