When life gives you LEMON HEAD

September 25, 2017 0 Comments

Aside for getting a lot of benefits, I’m very much looking forward for different new ways of enjoying Lemon. I’m so happy to find this Lemon shop, inexpensive but well-defined.

NOT PAID  |  Not Sponsored

Second Floor, Abreeza Mall, J.P. Laurel Avenue, Bajada, Davao Del Sur, Davao City, 8000, Philippines

You can enjoy hot and cold serving for very a affordable price.

They also serve a pastry, which goes along well with their drinks.

If you’re lucky enough, you can catch some fresh fruits too.

But the best way to enjoy this is to find someone you can chat along until to the bottom of your cup of lemon.

Steakhouse to visit in Digos City

August 22, 2017 0 Comments

Upperfarm Steakhouse

We’ve heard a lot of good reviews with this steakhouse in Digos, so we decided to take a 45 minute drive from Davao City.
I really wanted to take off my jacket, but I may lost my dates appetite because of my biceps.
The light is a little dim from the lamps, plus the windows are letting the sun rays through the open. So, blogger friends the place is for you! Well ventilated area, but I admit that Digos really has this almost irritating humid temperature. You may rather consider bringing your portable fans.

The place is built in an industrial design, and is very cozy. The whole place can accommodate for 40- 50 pax. Tables are in great and unique.  They’re made of cable stands; the circular table shape is very effective space saver. It’s a bit dusty when we arrived, considering that the store is fronting the main street.
They serve food for at least 15 – 20 mins, depending on your desired dish. They also serve wine, but very selected brands.

I usually order Porterhouse but since it's not available, I ordered T-bone in medium rare. I love it medium rare or medium, I love to taste the juiciness of the meat. I don’t like it cooked medium well or well done as it’s almost like shoe leather. I don't want meat to go into the spaces in between my teeth. Sorry gross!

I must say that this one is a medium cooked steak. Not real happy at sight. It’s mostly grey, but thankfully the small amounts of pink balances it all out. The spices? It won’t disappoint at all! And the price is right, it goes from 250 and above. Since you'll be the one to decide the how many pounds they'll cook for you.

Hubby got so excited meeting Mestizo! It’s a 1PC burger patty with shoestring fries for Php 150 only.  As burger lover, I didn't expect that he'd love this one. You'll never know until you tried it for yourself!

I really enjoyed our whole experienced at Upperfarm! It was never a waste of time. As my Granny always say, go home and eat good foods. One of the Digos finest!

Taichou Izakaya Japanese Restaurant (Captain's Pub)

August 09, 2017 0 Comments

Craving for ramen?

I highly suggest you visit Taichou Izakaya , located at D. Ponce St. Davao City. Besides 7/11, fronting Clemens Purified Drinking Water.

Taichou – Japanese Kanji for Captain, Leader or Commander.
Izakaya - a type of Japanese bar in which a variety of small, typically inexpensive, dishes and snacks are served to accompany the alcoholic drinks.

After a very tiring day at the beach, me and my partner decided to look for a hot ramen. This Japanese Restaurant happens to be a block away from our apartment. We arrived around 4:30 PM, perfect before the business closing time.

A very small resto, but amazingly has a long table for a family of 5 or 8 to bond. They can accommodate up to 20-25 pax. At first sight, you wouldn't really expect that it's more on the inside. Though, it's very visible at the facade gives you that time travel vibe to Japan. They also have their menu written in Kanji with translation.

I have visited Japan, and I am very fascinated with their comfort room. So, after picking out our seat at the counter table, I immediately headed to their comfort room. I was really amazed that they adopted the sliding door as well as the entire decoration.

Lindo, a young entrepreneur owns the place, and helping him is his sister. Both are very welcoming  and accommodating. We chitchatted them while waiting for the food, and learned that Lindo stayed quite while in Japan. He's passion in cooking inflamed by  fascination of the Japanese culture inspires him to put up Captain's Pub.

As they say, it's very hard to please Customer Care Representatives (Call Center Agent), when it comes to food and services. Most of us, values how the business threats their customers before how the food tastes.

This restaurant gives us so many reasons to come back. I'll rate them a 5 out of 5 for our experience. Exquisite place, and a belt buckling meal!
